THE CITY WHERE IT ALL STARTS
Kyiv is among the largest and oldest cities in Europe. Its 1,500-year history is sedentary by myths and legends. Kyiv was founded on the slopes of the Dnieper, one of the most powerful waterways in Eastern Europe. It was here that the majestic state of the Middle Ages appeared - Kievan Rus, which ran from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea. Today, more than 3 million people live in the capital of Ukraine.
Kyiv is a city with a unique landscape, many parks, botanical gardens and an open-air museum. Here you can see the building of byzantine style, Ukrainian Baroque, classicism and modernism. In our capital, history and modernity coexist, intertwine and create a unique, purely Kyiv atmosphere.
Kyiv is a prominent center of Orthodoxy, its monastery and other monasteries, cathedrals and churches are followed by pilgrims from all over the world. Baptized in 988, the city retains the passing of the Apostle Andrew the First, who blessed these lands. In addition to the Orthodox, the city has large communities of Catholics, Greek Catholics, Protestants of various currents, as well as Muslims and Jews.
Kyiv is a modern and comfortable metropolis. This is a dynamic, hospitable, multi-colored and open European city with developed infrastructure, to which they come to get an education, conduct business and realize their dreams.
